Trading levels --- 10th / 14th  March   2014
 
WE ARE AT ALLTIME HIGH ….. DAILY AND WEEKLY CLOSE.
CHEERS  AND TIME TO TAKE OUT CHAMPAIGNE …..
 
WE SMARTLY MOVED UP 250 NIFTY POINTS IN SPITE OF A SMALL DIP ON MONDAY. On the way, we effortlessly took out previous all time closing as well as intraday high. The FII flows of over Rs 4500 crores did help.
 
While there is euphoria all around and levels of 6700 are now being proclaimed, I want to sound a cautionary note. We will continue the ride the momentum - NO DOUBT for a day or two, but everything is not hunky dory with the market . 
 
While  NIFTY made a strong 2 % move on Friday, some indices ( apart from IT and PHARMA ) made much smaller moves indicating that rally was not really broad-based. This under-performance has to get corrected in next 2 sessions otherwise we will be  facing a fairly strong correction in following days.
 
Market is dancing to the MODI tune now. Another 200 points up move and we will not leave anything on the table for eventual  MODI coronation. So markets have to correct to 6200/6300 levels in next few weeks as HNI traders and FII will become cautious. 
 
As usual, this euphoric times are not for buying even the fundamentally good stocks  as valuations are exalted. We will get  5 to 7 % lower prices when market will go thru reality check and come down to 6200/6300 levels.
 
For this month, I  have switched to 6300 / 6600 short strangle at a marginal loss on Thursday evening. IDEA and RCOM bull spreads have in fact given very good money.
 
For the coming week, I suggest to watch 10770 level on spot BANK NIFTY. If that is violated for 20/25 minutes decisively, cut all longs on banks and take short position on bank nifty with a stoploss of 11950.
 
As I always say, we have to play percentages to make money. Bold bravado may not help.  WHAT DO YOU SAY ? ? ?
