VERY UNUSUAL RESULT SEASON WHERE A ZERO GROWTH ON YOY BASIS IS ALSO BEING CHEERED . . .
Trading levels 26th / 30th October 2020
About 30 % of NIFTY FIFTY companies have declared second quarter results. Leaving out IT companies, most of them have hardly managed to give on par or in fact lower than last year first half performance - BUT ARE BEING CHEERED BY BROKERS / ANALYST COMMUNITY AS IF THERE IS A VERY BIG BEAT ON YOY PERFORMANCE.
The stock prices are galloping ahead assuming Q on Q performance will be repeated in 3rd / 4th quarter as well.
Banks / NBFCs are not allowed to recognize NPAs till date ( as per supreme court order ). Look at SBI cards results … co is stating that real NPAs are 7.5 % but they can recognize only 4.7% officially. So, the results look much better optically for whole financial sector which is pushing NIFTY up for last 2/3 weeks.
SO LITMUS TEST WILL NOW COME IN DECEMBER 2020 RESULTS.
I am seeing big divergences on daily and weekly NIFTY charts and I only hope the history does not repeat by giving a very vicious correction which looks apparent.
MORE AND MORE INDIANS ARE NOW LOOKING TO DIVERSIFY BY INVESTING OUTSIDE INDIA AND ALSO IN PHYSICAL ASSETS LIKE GOLD AND SILVER. KEEPING THAT IN MIND, I HV STARTED FROM TODAY GIVING WEEKLY LEVELS FOR US INDICES / GOLD AND SILVER. I HOE THESE WILL BE USEFULL.
